MMC x Full Bleed Recap

Unfortunately, my ass was working all weekend so I missed the money cup, but word on the streets is everyone showed up doing their thing. Torey Pudwill winning best trick on Saturday's contest was full of combination tricks, but it was his kickflip backside lipslide to backside tailslide on the pyramid ledges that sealed the deal, GNAR! Top qualifier being P-Rod and Chris fuckin Cole winning the Money Cup 2 year's in a row, dang! NY grabbed 45 of the best skaters and cut them down to a 12 man finale

I hit up the MMC x Full Bleed closing party at the Gallery Bar on Orchard in NYC. Shit was so viben! Vice releasing their 305 page hardcover book called "Full Bleed" is based on photography documenting NYC skateboarding. Das and I were given the book by Dustin Dollin, but because it's Das haha, he's definitely going to keep the book and I'll fish out $35 at DQM to own my own! Partied with TK, met up with others, and saw Tim O'Connor riding Jersey City at the spot. Overall caption--- WILD

Architect: Archivirus
Location: Athens, Greece
Design Team: Athanasia Psaraki
Project Year: 2006
Construction Year: 2007
Constructed Area: 80 sqm

The Ramp House is a project which tries to reconsider and redefine the living space. The client, Athens, GR, requested a “skatable habitat”. Hardcore skaters will pretty much put up with any conditions in order to ride. The existing house interior was torn out and the the old wooden structure of the building was exposed. The result was a curved form interior, which set the whole house as well as the inhabitant’s life, into motion. In that space, which actually was a roof addition to an existing three-story building, Athanasia Psaraki, achieved a balanced co-existence between the old and the new in a harmonious way. Ramps were built in the main living area. The space is transformed with some moving sections like a ramp that fits into a notch where the fireplace is. Furniture can be temporarily wheeled out to a covered deck. The dominant material was obviously wood, so Athanasia used a wooden pergola and wooden horizontal louvers, which wrap up the whole new structure. As a result the new volume obtained independence while still remaining an inseparable part of the whole.

The Ramp House Project is definitely representative of amazing architecture with style, function and fun.
