MMC x Full Bleed Recap

Unfortunately, my ass was working all weekend so I missed the money cup, but word on the streets is everyone showed up doing their thing. Torey Pudwill winning best trick on Saturday's contest was full of combination tricks, but it was his kickflip backside lipslide to backside tailslide on the pyramid ledges that sealed the deal, GNAR! Top qualifier being P-Rod and Chris fuckin Cole winning the Money Cup 2 year's in a row, dang! NY grabbed 45 of the best skaters and cut them down to a 12 man finale



I hit up the MMC x Full Bleed closing party at the Gallery Bar on Orchard in NYC. Shit was so viben! Vice releasing their 305 page hardcover book called "Full Bleed" is based on photography documenting NYC skateboarding. Das and I were given the book by Dustin Dollin, but because it's Das haha, he's definitely going to keep the book and I'll fish out $35 at DQM to own my own! Partied with TK, met up with others, and saw Tim O'Connor riding Jersey City at the spot. Overall caption--- WILD

These losses have left a dent in skating, but their spirits and legacies continue to live on and as a special way to celebrate those who've fallen, Love&Guts has chosen to further immortalize them *via* Eyes Wide Open. Participants in this year’s show include Pat Ngoho, Lance Mountain, Steve Caballero, Steve Olson, Chad Muska, Armando Roura, Don Pendelton, Giovanni Reda, Ivory Serra & Shelter Serra, Dennis McNett along with many others who were all more than willing to lend their talents to this special exhibition.

So in my country right now, Athens, Greece, riots are breaking out with angry citizens and Greek communist parties imposing under an international bailout to save Greece from bankruptcy. The euro slipped against the dollar and a Greek default would be a serious blow to the shared euro currency and inflict losses on banks holding Greek bonds in France and Germany. The bailout is intended to reassure markets Greece will not default and prevent the debt crisis from spreading to other financially shaky countries such as Spain and Portugal.

Not gonna lie, I don't really watch much news or stay up on world news, except what I hear or might stumble upon on the internet signing into my msn email. I'm a visual person and I can't stand those messages at the bottom of the T.V. news screen, it's all brainwash bullshit!

However, I was turned on to, The Big Picture, Boston , which is a website updated daily with mindblowing photos taken by different journalists from all over the world. Each photo truely tells the story, which is some powerful shit!

NYC Graffiti Art

Releasing May 2010, Fresh Paint, NYC, by Billy Schon is a 400 pieced eye-candy photography book based on NYC's art crews, such as TC-5 (claw$), TFP, DYM, and many more. Walls, trucks, and subway tags are all featured by these gutsy artists, but are being repainted, buffed, and demolished, so most of these images shown in the book will not be seen again! Most definitely a must have for those who enjoy the world of graffiti and art.
